The International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame announces our 2026 IWBHF Inductees; Special Award Recipients and more!

For over a decade, the IWBHF has played a pivotal role in recognizing the talents and achievements of female boxers from around the globe. This landmark event represents more than just a celebration of women boxers and those who do so much outside the ring to support the sport; it's a tribute to the dedication and perseverance of those who are honored.

So without further ado...we are excited to announce our twelve (20) 2026 IWBHF Inductees. The 2026 inductees includes 12 modern female boxers, four (4) Non-boxer recipients and four (4) pioneer/trailblazer female boxers. All of the 12 "Modern female boxers" that are being inducted in 2026 are all retired multi-world champions and/or world champions, when they were actively fighting in the sport. Our elite 2026 IWBHF inductees are the following:

Modern Female Boxer(s):    Seniesa "Super Bad" Estrada;  Cindy "Checkmate" Serrano; Raja "Raging Raja" Amasheh; Kali "KO" Reis; Melissa "Huracan Shark" Hernandez; Heather "The Heat" Hardy; Ronica "Queen" Jeffrey; Hollie "Hot Stuff" Dunaway; Momo Koseki; Naoko Fujioka; Eva Wahlstrom; and Alejandra "Locomotora" Oliveras (Posthumous).

Non-Boxing Inductees:  Al Bernstein-- Broadcast Journalist, Analyst, Writer,  Hall of Fame Inductee in many organizations; Bettina Palle (Danish boxing promoter 25 plus years);  
Melvina Lathan -- Professional Boxing Judge, Chair of the NYSAC, Hall of Famer; and Jeanette Salazar serves as the Public Relations Director for the International Boxing Federation (IBF), and More.

Trailblazer/Pioneer Female Boxers: 
Deborah "Knockout" Nichols;  Christine Kreuz; Mitzi "Smokin" Jeter; and Sandra "The Shark" Yard

Special Award Recipients:  30-Year Anniversary Celebration/Awards: Christy Martin vs. Deirdre Gogarty-The fight between Christy Martin and Deirdre Gogarty on March 16, 1996, on the undercard of a Mike Tyson bout, proved to be a pivotal moment for women's boxing, significantly boosting its visibility and credibility; Blanca Gutierrez "Beyond the Ropes" Special Award -
Blanca founded Beautiful Brawlers, a prominent all-female amateur boxing event series in California. These events provided a platform for female boxers to compete and gain exposure when such opportunities were scarce;  Daveida "Candy" Jacobs  "Beyond the Ropes" Special Award-Daveida's lifelong connection to boxing began under the guidance of her late father, the legendary trainer Dave Jacobs, whose program at the Palmer Park Recreation Center helped shape generations of young athletes.   Full Story and Details of the 2026 IWBHF Inductees and Special Award Recipients

A Celebration of Women in Boxing: WBC Women's Summit and International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame -by Sue Fox (APR 10, 2025) A unique celebration took place recently at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Over four days from April 2 to April 5th. The spotlight was shone on women in boxing, as the WBC Women's Summit and the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) held back-to-back events. These gatherings not only honored past and present champions but also brought together the community that drives the sport forward.

LAS VEGAS, NV [February 27, 2025]  In an exciting announcement for boxing enthusiasts and advocates of women's boxing, Mayor Shelley Berkley of the City of Las Vegas has proclaimed April 5, 2025, as "International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Day." This proclamation marks a significant milestone for the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF), which will host its annual induction ceremony at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. This year's event promises not just celebration but also recognition of the extraordinary contributions women have made to the sport of boxing, and those outside the ring, male and female who have contributed tremendously to the sport of women's boxing.  FULL STORY

The "Night of the Stars" Latest Who's Who at the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Event in Las Vegas!

 

LAS VEGAS - (May 18, 2023)  The International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) celebrates our 10-year Anniversary with our "Night of the Stars" Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Event that takes place in a two-day celebration scheduled on October 6-7, 2023 (Friday/Saturday) at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.   We are also Celebrating the 25th year of  Women Boxing Archive Network (WBAN).

We are proud to announce that ALL of Our International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame "Modern Boxer" Inductees Category for this year upcoming induction event for (2023-2024) are ALL past World Champions, to check them out go here.

Shortly after our last year's event that took place at the Orleans Hotel & Casino on October 22, 2022, we made a decision to make a "unique special" IWBHF event for 2023.   IWBHF Vice President, Wanda Countiss said, why don't we call our 2023 IWBHF event "The Night of the Stars"!  It was the perfect title for such a huge event that will take place this year in Las Vegas!
